- Description: The Macomb Balloon Rally will return Sept. 5-6.
The event will take place at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ’s Vince Grady Field and various launch sites across the city.
20 hot air balloon pilots from the Midwest have been invited to participate in the 38th annual rally. This year’s theme is Mariachi.
The rally will begin with a mass ascension at 6 p.m. Sept. 5, preceded by a performance from Ï㽶ÊÓƵ’s Jazz Studio Orchestra from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
On Sept. 6, events will start at 6:45 a.m. with a flight featuring multiple launch points, where pilots will aim for targets on Vince Grady Field. A second flight is scheduled for 6 p.m., followed by the popular balloon glow event at 7:30 p.m. The glow will include a performance by the local band The House Cats.
Throughout the weekend, vendors and food trucks will be available on Vince Grady Field, offering a variety of food and merchandise. The Macomb Balloon Rally will also have a tent selling event merchandise and T-shirts. Free flyers featuring pictures of each balloon will be available. - Contact Information:
