You CAN Go Home Again: Knowledge from the Past as a Foundation for the Future

Speaker Dr. Kenneth Hawkinson spent 27 years at Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ where he served as a faculty member, department chair, associate dean, associate provost, and finally provost and associate vice president of academic affairs. During his time on the faculty, he served as a leader of both the Faculty Senate and faculty union. He has published numerous articles and dozens of professional papers. His research interests and creative pursuits include storytelling, oral tradition, and performance of literature. Dr. Hawkinson served as the 12th president of Kutztown University from July 1, 2015 until his retirement on July 6, 2025. He was awarded President Emeritus status by the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education upon his retirement.
