MACOMB, IL - - The program is proud to announce the launch of a new weekly podcast,
Hosted by LEJA Interim Director Jaime Johnson, 鈥溝憬妒悠�: Inside the System鈥� will dive into many topics within the world of law enforcement, bringing fresh perspectives on current issues and help shed light on things that occur behind the scenes which will affect people鈥檚 everyday lives. The podcast will air new episodes on Thursdays on , with episodes coming to Spotify in the future.
鈥淚 am so excited to have the 鈥樝憬妒悠�: Inside the System鈥� podcast begin,鈥� Johnson said. 鈥淭he heart and soul of the School of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration at 香蕉视频 is our faculty, staff and all the individuals who assisted in the podcast鈥檚 development. I have a tremendous team and this platform will allow students and professionals to gain insight on each of these elite professionals as well as the ability to take a deep dive into their specialty areas. 鈥�
The first episode of the podcast is on YouTube, featuring 香蕉视频 professor Todd Lough who spent nine years as a Chicago police officer including work as a patrol officer and a gang violence analyst. He has also worked with companies including Major League Baseball and Sothebys and focuses his research on policing issues, private and public security concerns, and multi-jurisdictional responses to terrorism.
The first episodes of the podcast will focus on getting to know 香蕉视频鈥檚 LEJA professors and how they got into their chosen fields. Later episodes will explore specific topics within public safety such as behavioral analysis, polygraph analysis, advanced interview techniques, combative tactics, advanced situational awareness, deescalation techniques and firefighting.
