MACOMB, IL – The Ï㽶ÊÓƵ LGBT*QA Resource Center welcomes students, faculty, staff and community members to its annual Big Picture Picnic, happening 1-4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, on the Multicultural Center (MCC) lawn.

The picnic is a chance to relax, meet new people and celebrate the spirit of pride together. Guests can look forward to food, games and outdoor fun, along with a special group photo at 3 p.m. that will be displayed in the LGBT*QA Resource Center as a symbol of unity and support.

"The Big Picture Picnic is a moment for me to appreciate the richness of our community, where I see every person's presence helping to paint a beautiful, inclusive picture of support and love," LGBT*QA Resource Center Graduate Assistant Stormy Lopez said.

"For me, this event highlights the diversity and unity within our LGBT*QA+ community and allies," Lopez said. "Just as a vibrant picture depends on many colors and details, I believe our community thrives through each individual's unique identity and voice. When we come together for games, food and a group photo at 3 p.m., I feel we're creating a shared image of acceptance and connection."

The LGBT*QA Resource Center provides a welcoming and inclusive environment for people of all sexualities and gender identities/expressions, while connecting students to resources, support, and programming that encourage growth and belonging.

Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to attend and be part of the celebration.
